But the Indian Embassy, Manila, finally announced on 17 June 2026 that Indian students are eligible to complete their MBBS and MD programs in the Philippines. The most important update from the Embassy of India is dated 17 June 2026, stating that students can complete their MBBS degree from the Philippines. These programs offered by CHED-recognized universities meet all NMC requirements for Indian students. MBBS in the Philippines for Indian students is not new, but has restarted again for students.   • The Indian Embassy had officially confirmed the NMC recognition at the Philippines university. They released the full NMC compliance for Indian students on 11 March 2026.
  • The Commission of Higher Education (CHED) requires that FMGL meet the requirements on 8th May; Indian students can confidently take admission to Philippine universities for MBBS.

How does one take admission to MBBS in the Philippines?
